## Definition

NAFLD (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease) is excess fat in the liver unrelated to alcohol, linked to obesity and insulin resistance.

## Extended

Weight loss of 5–10% on GLP-1 therapy can reduce hepatic steatosis. Alcohol should be minimised. Common comorbidity supporting earlier obesity pharmacotherapy in India.
